Terms & Conditions

No Personal Alcohol or Drinks Policy

To comply with licensing regulations and responsible alcohol service policies, no personal alcohol or drinks are permitted to be brought into or consumed in and around the bar area where Quartet Tavern is operating. All alcoholic beverages must be purchased directly from Quartet Tavern.

If personal drinks are found, guests may be charged a corkage fee unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the event.

Quartet Tavern reserves the right to refuse service to anyone consuming unauthorised alcohol and suspend bar services if licensing conditions are breached.

This policy helps ensure we remain compliant with UK licensing laws and Temporary Event Notice regulations and allows us to operate safely and responsibly.

Deposit

A deposit is required to secure your booking with Quartet Tavern. This deposit confirms your event date and booking with us.

Cancellation Policy

If a booking is cancelled within six weeks of the event date, the deposit will be non-refundable.

If cancellation occurs earlier than six weeks before the event date, this may be reviewed depending on circumstances.

Rescheduling

If you need to move your event date, we will do our best to accommodate the new date subject to availability.

Any payments made may be transferred to the new date where possible. If the requested date is unavailable and the booking is cancelled as a result, the deposit will remain non-refundable.

Challenge 25 Policy

Quartet Tavern strictly operates a Challenge 25 policy. Guests who appear under the age of 25 may be asked to provide valid identification when purchasing alcohol.

If valid ID cannot be provided, alcohol will not be served.

Right to Refuse Service

Our staff reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated or whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate.

This is to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests and to comply with licensing laws.

Damage to Equipment or Property

Any damage caused to Quartet Tavern equipment, bar structures or associated property by guests attending the event may result in the event organiser being held responsible for repair or replacement costs.

Safe Access and Egress

Safe access and egress must be available for the set up and removal of our bar equipment.

In some cases, a site visit may be required prior to the event to ensure the location is suitable for our set up, power requirements and operational needs.

Licensing

Where required, Quartet Tavern can assist in arranging a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) to ensure the event complies with licensing regulations.

Power Supply and Facilities

Where electrical power is required for the operation of the bar, a suitable and safe power supply must be available at the event location unless otherwise agreed in advance.

If power is not available or is deemed unsafe for our equipment, Quartet Tavern reserves the right to adjust the bar setup or suspend service until the issue is resolved.

Where a generator is required, this must be agreed prior to the event.

Weather and Outdoor Events

For outdoor events, the event organiser must ensure that the bar location is suitable and safe for operation.

In the case of severe weather conditions (including high winds, storms, flooding or unsafe ground conditions), Quartet Tavern reserves the right to suspend or modify bar operations if continuing would present a risk to staff, guests, or equipment.

Minimum Spend / Bar Viability

Where a minimum spend has been agreed for an event, the event organiser agrees to meet this amount. If the minimum spend is not reached during the event, the difference may be charged to the event organiser.

This clause only applies where a minimum spend agreement has been confirmed in writing.

Force Majeure

Quartet Tavern shall not be held liable for failure to perform its obligations where such failure is caused by events beyond reasonable control. This includes but is not limited to extreme weather, government restrictions, public safety concerns, power failure, road closures or other unforeseen circumstances.

In such cases, we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule the event where possible.

Bar Exclusivity

Where Quartet Tavern has been booked to provide bar services for an event, we reserve the right to be the exclusive provider of alcoholic beverages within the agreed bar service area unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the event.

This ensures compliance with licensing regulations and allows us to operate the bar safely and effectively.

Stock and Product Availability

Quartet Tavern will make every reasonable effort to provide the drinks and products agreed prior to the event. However, due to supplier availability or unforeseen circumstances, some products may occasionally need to be substituted with similar alternatives.

We reserve the right to manage stock levels during the event to ensure responsible service and continued bar operation.

Bar Operating Hours

Bar service times will be agreed prior to the event. Quartet Tavern reserves the right to cease alcohol service in accordance with licensing laws, venue requirements, or if it is deemed necessary for the safety of staff or guests.

Where applicable, last orders may be called prior to the agreed closing time.
